»I love talking about music, I love making music, I love discovering new music and I love diving into sound and explore. I love experimenting with instruments and use them in a way that was not intended, I love finding new portals in music, I love trying out things with sound, I love panning, stretching and reversing samples I made with my recorder, I love being aware of how my surroundings sound, how the sound changes when there is snow and how big an influence sound has on all living beings. I love how music soothes me. Music to me is a never-ending exploring adventure.

Phtalo is an eclectic composer who moves along the inner lines, where the senses unfold and imagination takes over. They live and work in a wooden cabin at the coastal shores of Denmark. My House In Your Haus is a podcast about electronic music hosted by Phtalo, and broadcast at The Lake Radio and Reboot FM Berlin. The new album Collective to be released this week include covers of songs by Björk, Cat Power and Kate Bush.

John William Grant is an American singer, musician, and songwriter holding both American and Icelandic citizenship. He first came to prominence as a co-founder, lead vocalist, pianist, and primary songwriter of the alternative rock band The Czars. After releasing six albums between 1994 and 2006, the band disbanded, and Grant withdrew from music for four years before embarking on a solo career.

He returned in April 2010 with a critically acclaimed debut album recorded in collaboration with Midlake. Queen of Denmark was named Album of the Year 2010 by Mojo magazine and was also selected as one of the ten best albums of 2010 by The Guardian’s music critics and writers.
