The Comfort of Art
At Borealis in Bergen, community is everywhere. But when everything is filtered through safety and intimacy, the music risks losing its necessity – and its bite.
Jeppe Rönnow holds a bachelor's degree in Philosophy (2000) and a master's degree in Musicology (2006) from the University of Copenhagen, specializing in performance practice of 20th century orchestral music. He graduated in organ from the Zealand Church Music School (2009). He has worked as a music reviewer for Politiken and as a music writer/critic for Seismograph and Magasinet Klassisk for the past ten years. He regularly interviews composers and musicians within new music.
